To magnify is to study, analyze, examine, interrogate. This work explores sentimental ideas about craft and the handmade - the handwrought as a stylistic trope. Enlarged hammer marks portray the romantic, smithed surface as ideological. These exaggerated presentation pieces conjure notions of craft, labor and industry.
